There has been an increasing trend in the consumption of energy resources around the world. This increase consumption leads to global warming due to the burning of non-renewable resources like petroleum, LNG, etc. To reduce down energy consumption people are relying on renewable energy resources as well as researching new possibilities of limiting the dependency on non-renewable resources. The are many sources of renewable energy widely available around the world like solar, wind, tidal, etc. This project focuses on the power calculation of a new type of renewable energy type lighting system developed by NTU known as the “Daylight Harvesting System”. This project was developed along with Technolite. This project further investigates on how to reduce down idle energy consumption as well as the running time energy consumption.en_US
