Abstract: The Shell Eco-Marathon is a competition for students to build an automotive vehicle that can achieve the most mileage in Kilometers traveled per Kilowatt-hours (Km/kWh). There are three energy categories in the competition: Battery-Electric, Hydrogen Fuel Cell, and Internal Combustion Engine. The Nanyang Venture Teams from the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) in Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore had been participating actively in these Shell Eco-Marathon competitions since 2009. Nanyang Venture 10 (NV10) is the latest hydrogen vehicle built in 2020 This year, the Nanyang Venture Team aims to take part in the Shell Eco-Marathon 2021 Battery-Electric category with the Nanyang Venture 11 (NV11). The primary goal of this final year project is to set up the direct current (DC) power system, and the external lighting controls system for NV11 in adherence to the rules set out by the organizer. This report documents the system's calculation and simulation to the final stage of designing and selecting component ratings for the power and lighting control systems.
