Creating space for the birth of "Pillars of salt" : the producer's perspective

Abstract

Referencing the film’s name to the biblical narrative of Lot’s wife turning into a pillar of salt when she looked back at the city of Sodom and Gomorrah, Pillars of Salt, is a film that explores what it means to face the pain and losses of the past and the possibilities of moving on. For the film to grow from its foetal paper document format into the film form, numerous creatives have offered their sacred giftings, time and hard work. This report will serve as documentation of the journey the team took to create space for the birth of this film, from a producer’s perspective.
