Abstract: The boost converter is a prevailing type of converter which has been extensively implemented in various areas, such as industrial application and electrical vehicles. The objective of utilizing controllers in converter systems are to ensure the desired performance of converter under various conditions are met. In this report, a new high voltage gain, high step-up DC-DC converter is implemented. The open-loop experimental results of the new high voltage gain, high step-up DC-DC converter are also presented in this report to show the performance of the converter. In addition, the sliding-mode controller is built. However, the results were not available due to the overloading problem of the controller.
