Abstract: This project aims to design and develop a casual mobile game simulating life during and post pandemic. The goal is to hopefully provide an opportunity for people to see the pandemic from a different perspective and shift some attention from the negatives of pandemic life to the positives instead. While doing so, the game further hopes to reduce the stress of the players and provide both an uplifting and stress-relieving experience. The game is designed with an alternate fantasy reality in mind and as a 2.5-dimensional game. Undertaken by a team of three, each individual was assigned different aspects of the game, ranging from graphic design to actual development of gameplay. The current progress of the game includes a completed first chapter, which encompasses general mechanics and the full development of four mini-games. The mini-games were based on gardening, cleaning, cooking, and drawing. Of these four, two will be explained in further detail in the report. The game was developed in Unity2D using C#, with its graphics designed in Procreate.
