dc.description.abstractThis paper attempts to explain the existing absolute poverty and inequality in Thailand since the 1997 Asian Financial Crisis. We therefore seek to analyze the effects of economic growth and other factors that affect the rate of poverty reduction as well as the problem of inequality. We find that as poverty is reduced over the years, the problem of inequality worsened.en_US
