Abstract: This study advances the fundamental understandings of ionic-checkpoint and its role in regulating immune functions. Pharmacological activators are able to rescue T cells of the high K+-mediated suppression and restore T cell effector functions. Our study suggests a new approach for improving the effectiveness of cancer immunotherapies. [1st Award]
