NTU students' traveling motivations and behaviors.

Abstract

The research examines the motivations and behaviors of the Nanyang Technological University students during their holiday trips in order to answer the question: Are they backpackers or conventional mass tourists? Although a number of studies have covered the western backpackers, relatively few papers touched on Asian student and young travelers. This paper intends to initiate research into this tourism segment in Singapore as a generating market.
