Abstract: The t-BuOK-mediated reactions of γ,δ-alkenyl N-arylhydrazones enabled intramolecular hydroamination with the outer nitrogen, affording tetrahydropyridazine derivatives. DFT calculations demonstrated a clear distinction in the chemical reactivity between hydrazones and analogous oximes in inorganic base-mediated hydroamination.
