Title: Examining simplicity.
Authors: Wong, Ka Man.
Keywords: DRNTU::Visual arts and music::Visual arts
Issue Date: 2009
Abstract: The objective of this project is to show how our lives, once deconstructed into simple actions, reveal a calmness that contrasts starkly with the busy outer world. As documented in the book, A Time to Stand and Stare, Watching Natural Events Unfold, the unwinding process of ordinary objects serves as a metaphor for stripping the unessential in our lives to reach simplicity. In the installation of A Sip of Sky, the audience is directed to enjoy a view of the sky, as many of us tend to overlook the simple beauties around us.
