dc.description.abstract离散叙事一直是主流的马华文学题材。 Diaspora narrative has always been the mainstream theme of Malaysian Chinese Literature. Writer Li Yongping's works " Jiling Chronicles" and "The Snow Falls in Clouds: Recollections of A Borneo Childhood " (hereafter referred to as " The Snow Falls in Clouds ") show the typical diaspora writing. Li Zishu, a writer growing up in a different era, abandoned the diaspora narrative tradition of Malaysian Chinese literature, embodied native writing in her new work "Vulgar Land". This thesis focuses on a comparison of the two writers' works on their hometowns in different eras, and interpret the differences in writing methods and presentation, partly owing to their experiences in different creative contexts. Thus, it shows that Malaysian Chinese Literature is moving from the typical diaspora narrative to the native writing; extending Shi Shumei's concept that "diaspora has its end", sort out the different writing presentations of the works.en_US
