Abstract: 中学华文文学课程在新加坡被视为“冷门课程”。在一百余所中学学府里,仅有十二所开办了华文文学课程,其中包括南洋女子中学。作为新加坡唯一一所开办语文特选课程的全女子特选学校,南洋女子中学的古典文学育有很强的潜力和发展的空间,有潜能成为我国华文文学课程发展的指南针。 本文以南洋女子中学的学生为主要考察对象,分析我国女中学生在学习中华古典文学时所遇到的挑战,并结合新加坡教育部的课程标准,及南洋女子中学和圣尼格拉女校资深华文文学教师的经验与见解,剖析“女性视角”下的教材和学习概念在古典文学教育中,能够如何给予学生们学习上的帮助。在此个案研究的基础上,笔者将以小见大,对新加坡当下的古典文学教育和课程设置进行反思并提出建议。 In recent years, the secondary school Chinese literature subject has been regarded as an "unpopular course" in Singapore. Of more than 100 secondary schools, only 12 have offered the subject, including Nanyang Girls’ High School (NGHS). As the only all-girl Special Assistance Plan School in Singapore offering the Chinese Language Elective Programme, NGHS's classical Chinese literature education has strong potential and room for development, and can compass the progress of Chinese literary education in Singapore. This paper aims to explore the difficulties encountered by secondary school female students in their learning of classical Chinese literature. Taking into consideration of the curriculum guidelines from the Ministry of Education, and insights from experienced Chinese literature subject teachers from NGHS and CHIJ St. Nicholas Girls’ School, the paper will explore and analyse the benefits of instilling female-perspectives-related content and learning pedagogy to classical Chinese literature education for female students. Finally, the paper will relook and provide suggestions at the current classical literature education and curriculum arrangement in Singapore.
