Title: | Concrete euphoria. | Authors: | Tio, Samantha Meng. (Mintio) | Keywords: | DRNTU::Visual arts and music::Photography | Issue Date: | 2009 | Abstract: | “Concrete Euphoria” is an exploration of the contemporary urban landscapes in Asia and has been by far my most intensive body of work as a young artist and photographer. Despite technological advancement in digital photography, my medium of choice is the large format field camera on 4 by 5 transparencies, one of photography’s earliest mechanisms. Over the span of the 12 months, labour has been key in the image making process: the creation of a single image with this camera involves hours of carrying around the notoriously heavy equipment, following a series of meticulous metering and calculations. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/15590 | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
