The hour of reckoning

Abstract

The Hour of Reckoning is an action short film Final Year Project, produced by RCU Productions. The team behind the film consists of Choy Mei Yen, Joshua Alexander de Souza, Lau Jing Tong and Ron Yap Chen Xiong, four undergraduates from Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information (WKWSCI), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), under the supervision of Assoc Prof Ian Dixon.

The film follows Frank, a trained soldier who learns of the grisly assault against his sister Daisy. He hunts down her assaulters at a KTV and doles out his brand of justice, but is arrested before getting to the last man. In the police station, Nadiah, the detective in-charge of Daisy’s case, stands between him and his last shot at justice.

This report details the team’s progress from idea conceptualisation through to the production process of the film, and how the team handled the decisions and management in the making of the film.
