Abstract: Since Pendry's work, invisible cloaks have become a hot topic in material science, electromagnetism and more relevant fields. This paper mainly consists of two research parts. Using MATLAB, based on Pendry's work, we established a model of the multi-layer invisible cloak, and did the simulation under different thickness and number of discrete layers, so as to observe their performance under the non-optimization condition. The performance of the cloak is evaluated mainly by the perturbation of the wave plane and the scattering. In the second part, the optimization tool is used to optimize the parameters of each layer, so as to study the difference made by the optimization process.
