Abstract: Popularity of photography has been one of the highest among past times activities. It provides the space to express ourselves without restrictions. They provide freedom to capture the moment of emotions and create something unique. With advancements in technology, photographers can recreate certain effects that once require expensive equipment and skilled knowledge now with more affordability and accessibility to the masses while producing results on par. The purpose of this project is to explore the use of Raspberry Pi with its compact and performance capability to design a system and framework on this platform to recreate one of the most iconic visual effects and design it such that it can be easily deployed by the average user. Information, methodology, and any software approach used were considered extensively through research and communication with the project supervisor. The results show a promising outlook that it can be recreated to a satisfactory degree which opens up a new range of possibilities in the attempt to recreate other visual effects using Raspberry Pi for photography.
