Abstract: The primary goal of this research is to customize a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) tag that can be used in place of a smart device to assist the elderly in their daily activities. This project uses the Thingy 52 (nRF6936) from Nordic Semiconductor to achieve the desired end product. This study will explore the approach to energy conservation, the various services accessible in the firmware, and communication protocols, as well as the customization of firmware to accomplish BLE tag functionality using Segger Embedded Studio (SES).
