dc.description.abstract | Students are plagued with numerous assignments, quizzes, exams, and meetings to keep track of. With the piling assessments, a one-stop solution is required for students to quickly yet efficiently log all these details. While one of the options would be to key these details into an existing app such as Google Calendar or Outlook, these notifications often get cluttered and hidden under all the application notifications in the notification center. In this project, Calpal, a Telegram bot was created to resolve the issue of notifications flooding the notification center. Instead, a user is able to view their upcoming exams and deadlines through the Telegram messaging platform. This bot simulates a human being reminding a friend of their upcoming deadlines while making logging of such events hassle-free and kept to the basic minimum. The functions include creating events sorted into the categories: Exams, Assignments, Quizzes, and Meetings. An assistive AI bot, this bot intelligently provides the data that students need on the go. Overall, this report details the research, designing, and developmental process of the bot and serves as a guide for developers aiming to create a Telegram bot from scratch before pushing it to production. This bot is located @calpalfypbot on the Telegram application. | en_US |
