Outreach based enterprise network design

Abstract

The goal of this outreach networking workshop is to help students who have no experience with computer networks. Through this workshop, they will learn about the concept of network and understand how it is applied to our daily lives. Targeting a group of students, such as Postgraduates, Working adults, and Secondary school, research was conducted beforehand to determine their requirements. The workshop materials, including the Instructor and Student lab manuals, briefing slides, and pre-brief slides, were created to cater to a variety of target groups.

In this report, the background and motivation would be introduced first. Afterwards, the literature review would be covered. After the literature review, the report will talk about the workshop results and discussions, which address the factors to consider when designing the workshop materials for different student groups. Furthermore, it covers more details on the outreach workshop that is designed for different target audiences. Finally, the conclusion summarizes the entire project, and recommendations for improving this project will be provided in the future work section.
