Abstract: In the digitally connected world that people live in, electronic learning or e-learning has shaped the way people deliver and receive an education. The number of e-learning users globally has increased over the years as more people gain access to the internet [1]. The COVID-19 pandemic further contributed to the sharp increase in the number of e-learning users when educational institutions around the world had to shift their teaching resources online to conduct lessons for greater than 60% of the student population [2]. This move was made in compliance with the social distancing rules encouraged by the World Health Organisation (WHO) to contain the disease [2]. With more people using these platforms, it is important to integrate interactive elements into these e-learning platforms to encourage active learning. This project, Software/Hardware Interactive Learner for Mixer, is an e-learning platform that provides users with an introduction to analog audio mixers. The use of both hardware and software elements in the platform will allow users to learn in the comfort of their homes and apply their knowledge through a hands-on activity in the lab. Moodle is used as the learning management system (LMS) which contains the learning content, quizzes and instructions for the hands-on activity to build a simple channel strip from an analog mixer and together with an audio amplifier.
