Abstract: Passwords are commonly used for web applications for authentication due to their convenience and feasibility. However, there has been numerous password-related hacking incidents. This project consists of two parts - firstly, the vulnerability of using simple passwords which hackers will obtain in a matter of seconds using hacking software tools. Secondly, the possibility of complementing passwords with biometric authentication. This is done by exploring the accuracy of biometrics and its vulnerabilities
