Mobile phones, earbuds, and other electronics were integrated with coupled coils to enable wireless charging through the inductive power transfer method. Each appliance has its unique shape and design, thus, the coil structure has to shape accordingly to fit its respective electronic model. To acquire maximum power transfer efficiency, numerous coil designs were tested during the system development stage. However, the process of constructing WPT coils was time-consuming as they were thin planar coils which leads to an increase in development cost. To cope with this issue, a fast-coiling approach was discovered using a specifically designed prototype. This paper presents a new prototype, inspired by the concept of transformer bobbins, to aid with the process of the planar coil winding.
