Abstract: The focus of this FYP will be on the behaviour of bird flocks. The sight of bird flocks is always beautiful to look at, and we all cannot help but wonder how the birds navigate the urban environment so effortlessly. Furthermore, in the context of migratory birds, these flocks adapt different formations depending on the situation they are in. They can then transit seamlessly from one formation to another, while maintaining the flock integrity and flying efficiency over long distances. The game developed will simulate a flock of 5 birds in the form of drones, and the user will be able to navigate obstacles and terrains by controlling the leading drone. With various formations to select for deployment, the user will then choose the best formation for each scenario in the game environment.
