Abstract: In view of the limited fossil fuel reserves, solar energy is considered one of Singapore's key sources of energy. It plays a pivotal role in rising the standard of living and quality of life for Singaporeans as well as for the rest of the world. It is very important for designing solar energy devices to know the information about solar radiation and its components at particular locations in order to achieve optimal performance. Hence, this project aims to design, improve and build a new porcupine , which will collect solar irradiance values from four directions to analyse the data and achieve its objective. This prototype is built with DIY materials. Additional, hardware improvements are made to make the prototype different from the previous prototype.
