Abstract: This project uses Visual Components to construct a technical process for a mini manufacturing line system. To begin, there is the manufacture of the assembly. The system was created with the help of the Visual Components simulator. A gripper robot, a “human”, and an automated guided vehicle are used in this concept. On an open floor platform, unmanned workstations are set up. Workpieces must be in good condition to be processed through several workstations in the sequence specified in the schedule. In discrete event systems, supervisory control is used to control the entire process. A finite-state automata debugging tool, developed by the Cyber-Physical Intelligent System Research Group of Nanyang Technological University, is used to design the controller. The supervisory controller in discrete event systems will be connected to the 3D simulation. This results in a simulation that can be customised by editing the event sequences in the debugger tool and transforming the discrete event system into a real-time simulation.
