Abstract: Travelling is becoming more attractive and popular among all age groups. It provides the opportunity to appreciate different cultures and helps us relieve the stress from daily life. However, making a satisfactory travel itinerary is one of the most complicated tasks for tourists, especially on self-planned trips. Although there is a lot of information available on the Internet and guidebooks, abundant guidelines still cause confusion and an overwhelming planning process. In order to simplify the complicated procedure, this project aims to design and implement a mobile application to generate a customised travel itinerary. Machine learning algorithms are implemented to generate the itinerary based on user preferences automatically. It selects the tourist spots and makes adjustments interactively according to the destination, travelling duration and user preferences within a short period. In conclusion, this mobile application allows travellers to minimise the process of trip planning and enjoy the journey. The energy and time can be saved from escaping endless research work before the trip.
