Abstract: This report is concerned with the Final Year Project in creating a simulation tool to improve the learning of EE2010/IM2004 Signals and Systems taught at Nanyang Technological University. The module, Signals and Systems, is one of the core subjects in the field of engineering and it builds the foundation for students to proceed on to more advanced courses in Signal Processing, Communications and Control. However, due to the nature of the subject, the theories in Signals and System can be challenging and pose difficulties to students in their learning process. To better aid students in their learning, the development of an interactive and user-friendly simulation tool is conducted in this project using the MATLAB software and is based on the contents of EE2010/IM2004. Part B of this project focuses on the concepts of Fourier Series and Fourier Transform that are taught in the second part of the EE2010/IM2004 Signals and Systems module. The resulting simulation tool was successful in performing Fourier Series Analysis and Fourier Series Synthesis of periodic signals, and Fourier Transform.
