Abstract: This report details the design, implementation, and control of a new high step-up dc- dc boost converter. This boost converter is a modified version of a conventional dc-dc boost converter that offers a higher output voltage with lower duty cycle. The controllers implemented in this project are the sliding mode and current-mode controllers, which are used to regulate the output voltage under different operating conditions. The features of the controllers as well as the experimental results of the tests are presented in the report.
