Abstract: AC/DC hybrid microgrids have gained more attention due to the increase of DC power source and loads. Therefore, the coordinated dispatch is necessary for economical and reliable operations of AC/DC hybrid microgrids. In this thesis, the hybrid DC/AC microgrid is modeled in MATLAB by constructing the objective function. The YALMIP/CPLEX solver is used to optimize the average daily operating cost of the microgrid considering different energy degradation functions. Then by assuming the bidirectional converter is in ideal case which means there is no power loss and considering the converter efficiency is 0.98 in the same hybrid microgrid, the cost loss caused by the bidirectional converter is calculated. Finally, the suitable degradation function of the energy storage system is chosen through the optimization time and value accuracy of average daily operating cost.
