Abstract: This paper’s objective is to study the current factors and frameworks used in various green logistics projects. A framework is developed from the research to assess the effectiveness of a new green logistics initiative for a company. The methodology of this paper accounts for both qualitative and quantitative research approach, involving surveys and in-depth interviews. The primary research will detail the concerns logistics companies have with regards to green initiatives. Secondary research which involves existing materials from online are analysed as well. In this paper, the factors that are used to assess harms to an environment are analysed. The frameworks that evaluates environmental risks are studied as well. Next, both external and internal factors that determine the benefits and costs of a capital investment project are assessed. Finally, green logistics initiatives frameworks are studied. Research emphasises on the lack of frameworks assessing the green logistics projects in Singapore. Hence, the purpose of this paper is to develop a framework to assess the efficiency of green logistics initiatives in Singapore, covering factors that affect both the company and the environment. This framework is developed based on the findings and discussions from this part (Part II) and the previous parts (Part I and Part II).
