This report investigates the effects of superhydrophobic surface inclination on the impact behaviours of water droplets. Throughout the experiment, two parameters – surface inclination angles and drop release heights – were altered to a set of specified values. An experimental setup utilising a goniometer and retort stand were used to allow for precise adjustments to obtain accurate readings and analysis. In the experimental approach, a single water droplet is released at various specified heights to impact onto a superhydrophobic substrate positioned at different angles. To capture the process of impact, a high-speed camera was utilised to record this event from both the top and side views, with the aid of the Leica lighting system in the background. The images were then meticulously analysed and studied by using the open-source ImageJ software. Experimental results were then examined and analysed to draw appropriate conclusions about the behaviours of water droplets under the effects of various parameters. In addition, literature reviews of previous studies in this research area were included to provide a coherent flow and comprehension of this research.en_US
