(2022). Design and development of assistive robotic arm. Final Year Project (FYP), Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. https://hdl.handle.net/10356/158578 | Project: | A005 | Abstract: | Stroke is one of the most common causes of upper-limb disability and loss of capacity to carry out everyday tasks. This project presents the design considerations and process of an assistive robotic arm meant for patients with neuromuscular disorder undergoing recovery therapy. The device is designed to assist the patients with activities of daily living. This project evaluates different configurations of robotic arms and mechanical structures to determine the most suitable design for an assistive robotic arm. The project uses an engineering design process consisting of conceptual design, embodiment design and detailed design to document and design the mechanical components and select the motors for the assistive robotic arm. | URI: | https://hdl.handle.net/10356/158578 | Schools: | School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
