One’s special occasions and unusual places of visits are often documented in tangible forms due to their significance and temporality. Yet ironically, it is the seemingly mundane experiences that significantly shape a person’s life – they too, are temporal yet they are the ones that are most often taken for granted. ‘The Extra-Ordinaries’ is a retrospective publication project that explores reflective nostalgia through one’s everyday places. It aims to translate the intangible experiences at the locales into a more tangible form through the assemblage of personal stories and its visual fragments. Apart from the preservation of personal memories, the project also aims to encourage others to cultivate a greater appreciation towards their day-to-day life through a sense of collective memory. | URI: | https://hdl.handle.net/10356/158739 | Schools: | School of Art, Design and Media | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
