This project is not just about merging two aesthetics but creating something no one has explored yet and tapping into my years of cultural integration. I have always been fascinated by the aesthetics and purpose of punk fashion culture, but being raised in an extremely traditional Chinese family since young, punk culture was actually a taboo. With fashion playing such a big role in the punk culture and Chinese tradition, I decided to challenge both sides, not to see if there could be a fusion but also struck a balance between the two, while preserving the core energy of both cultures. | URI: | https://hdl.handle.net/10356/158771 | Schools: | School of Art, Design and Media | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
