Title: | Potential of soft clay as an aluminosilicate precursor in one-part alkali-activated cement | Authors: | Nur Muhammad Matien Kamarudin | Keywords: | Engineering::Civil engineering | Issue Date: | 2022 | Publisher: | Nanyang Technological University | Source: | Nur Muhammad Matien Kamarudin (2022). Potential of soft clay as an aluminosilicate precursor in one-part alkali-activated cement. Final Year Project (FYP), Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. https://hdl.handle.net/10356/158858 | Project: | EM03 | Abstract: | Considering the environmental impact of production of conventional Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC), making alternative low carbon binder solutions like the one-part Alkali Activated Material (AAMs) viable is paramount. It is also important that the raw materials used are from waste sources/industrial by-products to ensure production of such AAMs is sustainable and more environmentally friendly than production of conventional cement. The report will study the possibility of utilising impure waste clay and impure alkali activator as raw materials to create one-part AAM and conduct tests to see its feasibility for commercial use. | URI: | https://hdl.handle.net/10356/158858 | Schools: | School of Civil and Environmental Engineering | Fulltext Permission: | embargo_restricted_20240524 | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
