Final Year Project (FYP), Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. https://hdl.handle.net/10356/158872 | Project: | HA21_05 | Abstract: | Technological advancements have enabled many countries to implement digital transformations that aid connectivity, with the end goal of becoming a smart city. As Singapore progresses towards being a digital society, more smart nation initiatives are being rolled out. However, digital illiteracy and access to digital technology can impede the digitalization process. This is especially so for the elderly as they have less interaction and understanding of technological devices. Given the importance of digital inclusion within the community, this study seeks to examine the extent of Singapore’s digital divide by analyzing the usability of smart nation initiatives among the elderly, specifically healthcare-related ones. The efficacy of current strategies in managing Singapore’s digital divide and the areas for improvement will also be explored. | URI: | https://hdl.handle.net/10356/158872 | Schools: | School of Social Sciences | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
