Sight and vision are important in our lives because they allow us to connect with our surrounding and keep us safe. Being able to see gives us the ability to enjoy, perceive and understand the beauty of the world around us. Unfortunately, there are many people who are unable to enjoy these simple things in life because of visual impairment, and these affected individuals face great difficulties in their lives. Visual impairment has been increasingly affecting people around the world. As technology improves, many smart assistive technologies have been developed with the aim to improve the living quality of those affected, however, these efforts are ineffective in trying to tackle the problem as many around the world are still bothered by it. This is due to the huge price tag that often comes along with these technologies. Hence, this FYP explores the possibility of using 3D technology, and to design and deliver an alternative product that is both affordable for the masses and easy to operate without any prior training while ensuring that the primary capabilities are met to fulfil the needs of the visually impaired.en_US
