Supply chain design is an operational plan through which an organisation transports and converts raw materials into finished products. The number of echelons in a supply chain, the number of nodes in each echelon, the distance between nodes, and the definition of operations for each node are all strategic design decisions under a supply chain design that help to improve the production and delivery of a variety of products to customers. This project encompasses the development of three supply chain designs for the booming electric vehicle industry based on the level of integration of the different stages of the EV value chain in the company's business model. The study begins by highlighting the need for the development of supply chain designs for electric vehicles, followed by an analysis of the current developments in the automotive supply chains and the overall flow process for electric vehicles. The core of the study entails the proposition of three different supply chain designs based on the level of integration along with their supply chain diagrams. The study also proposes that the new companies entering the market can use the decision matrix to select the most suitable design. The report ends with a case study showcasing how an existing EV company can use the decision matrix to select one of the three supply chain designs.en_US
