Final Year Project (FYP), Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. https://hdl.handle.net/10356/159115 | Abstract: | Currently, there are many industries that make use of remotely operated vehicles for applications such as maintenance of infrastructure, military surveillance, and research in ocean science. In this thesis, we shall be discussing on the rise of virtual reality simulation and how it can be incorporated into the training sessions, to provide a better comprehensive training experience for the operators manning the remotely operated vehicles. In this project a virtual reality app is also designed and build using Unity 3D, in collaboration with Multipurpose Virtual Reality Platform for Marine Robotics – Part 2 by Wu Po Yi and C-Leanship, a hull cleaning solution company to showcase its capabilities to act as a training VR simulation, by infusing real world physic and attractive user interface for the operators. | URI: | https://hdl.handle.net/10356/159115 | Schools: | School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering | Fulltext Permission: | embargo_restricted_20240528 | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
