Abstract: Covalent organic frameworks (COFs) are an emerging class of polymeric crystalline nanoporous materials with a broad range of applications. In this issue of Matter, Fang et al. demonstrate that two-dimensional COFs exhibit extraordinary mechanical properties including high strength, high modulus and flaw insensitivity at low mass and high surface densities.
