The system captures the data from operating plants, process or discrete equipment and stores it in the central server. The purpose of the project is to set up the web-based central server. The server can be used to monitor and control a solar energy harnessing system; And the system can be controlled and viewed over the internet. There are three objectives to achieve the purpose of the project: Firstly, the web-based central server must be set up for displaying the web page in web browser. Secondly, the data can be retrieved and displayed in the web page based on user selection. Lastly construct the web page for all the system in solar plant. The development of the project is separated into four stages: the first stage is literature review on web server setup. Following stage is developing web application using Apache, Apache Tomcat, MySQL and JDBC. Third stage is developing web application with NetBeans Integrated Development Environment (IDE) 6.5.
