Abstract: There are many types of intersections which can be found on the roads. They can be classified according to their number of legs, shape and whether signalized or un-signalized. An unsignalized four-way cross junction is the type which this study is focusing. It is divided into major road and minor road. Major road has the priority to move and do not need to give way to minor road traffic. Stop signs are displayed at the minor road to warn drivers they have to stop. When the total traffic volume is equally spread among the legs, it is advisable to select roundabout as the choice to diversify the traffic. This will decrease the concentrated delay time on a particular leg. The uneven traffic flows at the cross junction proved that why cross-junction is better than roundabout in terms of capacity. Based on the data, it showed a lower volume of traffic making right-turn within the cross junction. If there is an uneven traffic volume occurs within roundabout, most likely it will consider as the roundabout is not fulfilling the condition.
