Abstract: Power systems play an important role in human life, while running under abnormal conditions, the fault analysis is particularly important. And the circuit breaker, as a device for protecting the circuit, needs to be properly rated to avoid damage to the power system. Thus, in order to review the issue of fault analysis and select appropriate ratings for the circuit breakers, a Graphical User Interface (GUI) was designed based on MATLAB GUIDE in this dissertation. With the aid of the GUI, users can perform load flow calculations, short-circuit analysis and circuit breaker ratings selection by entering the related data of the power system.
