Final Year Project (FYP), Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. https://hdl.handle.net/10356/162901 | Project: | SCSE21-0862 | Abstract: | The Internet of Things (IoT) revolutionized the world through its seamless connectivity, providing end users with remote access control, ease of operations, and reconfigurability [1]. IoT enhances people’s standard of living by tapping into IoT’s remote access control capability which introduces the concept of a home automation system. A home automation system is a smart home, which defines as an accommodation that incorporates a communication network that connects key electronic household devices, allowing these devices to be remotely controlled, accessed, or monitored. However, due to the high cost of implementing a smart home, many households have still not deployed it. This report focuses on creating an affordable home automation system based on node-MCU ESP32 by allowing remote device control through internet connectivity. | URI: | https://hdl.handle.net/10356/162901 | Schools: | School of Computer Science and Engineering | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
