Abstract: Exponential increase economic growth in Singapore caused a large increase in waste output. Incinerators and landfill sites have reached the maximum capacity and there is a need to build new ones which puts a strain on Singapore’s small land resources. [1] Plastic waste rapidly increases as the economy improves. Some households claimed that they recycled regularly. These households are also aware of the blue recycling bins and chutes. However, there are misconception that recyclables were mixed with general waste. There are several ways to influence the behaviors of recycling through mobile applications. Mobile phones has become a necessity in our daily lives as most people spend a lot of their spare time with it. This project aims to create a space for people who are interested in recycling. It helps to raise awareness on materials that can be recycled. Users can also search for locations of the bin centre. It can also track their monthly contribution of the things that they recycle. This study concludes that the future work is underway to test the final prototype of the app.
