Being media literate in Singapore as foreigners : a media literacy study of Singapore-based Indonesians

Abstract

Singapore and Indonesia are two neighboring countries with extensive bilateral economic, political, social, and cultural exchanges. Therefore, it is essential to understand the importance of media literacy for the development of intercultural understanding and global consciousness between these two countries. A qualitative study of Singapore-based Indonesians was done to find put how they used media literacy in order to adapt to the local daily life.
