Abstract: Home security is a critical concern for homeowners, particularly in today's world, where there are crime cases of break-ins and thefts. Home security refers to measures taken to safeguard homes from threats such as burglary, and other criminal activities. The advancements in computer vision have revolutionized home security systems and made them more accessible and user-friendly. This project aims to develop a smart remote security system that can perform human detection using a deep learning model on an Android smartphone. The project can utilize spare phones with cameras to create a security system that can provide a sense of security to users without the need for expensive equipment or professional installation. The system can send app notifications to alert the user of any suspicious events and will have a power-saving mode to reduce energy consumption while still providing security. In addition, the report covers the development of critical functions in the application.
