Abstract: The electroweak theory is one of the fundamental pillars upon which the Standard Model of particle physics is built. Its successful predictions have dramatically pushed forward our understanding of the world and its workings at the most elementary level. However, its inability to accurately account for neutrino related phenomena requires us to look for theories beyond the electroweak theory. This paper is a foray into the realm beyond the electroweak theory. Specifically, it aims to explore the various methods in which physicists have attempted to insert neutrino masses into the Standard Model.
