Final Year Project (FYP), Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. https://hdl.handle.net/10356/166513 | Project: | SCSE22-0441 | Abstract: | Mobile devices have certainly become an integral part of our daily lives, and it is highly likely that we will come across mobile games at least once. Different games have different target audiences, different objectives and definitely different game styles. It is challenging to develop an application solely for entertainment purposes, but it is even more challenging to create an application that focuses on developing a particular skill. Creating a game that can teach skills such as teamwork and communication that targets a young age group can be pretty challenging, as we have to take into account many factors. As this application is targeted to improve a skill, it is essential to have a method to keep track of their skill progress. It is also difficult to keep track of such a skill as it is difficult to quantify such a skill. This project aims to develop an Android mobile-based game application that will allow users to gain or instill teamwork in a co-located area, through an android device game. Making sure that we are able to keep track of the progress of each individual and make sure that each individual is improving their teamwork. To ensure that the aim is met, a user study was conducted after the development of the application to evaluate that the application indeed does encourage teamwork between players and improves it. There were some interesting feedback from the participants that suggested to make the game more exciting or a better reward system. | URI: | https://hdl.handle.net/10356/166513 | Schools: | School of Computer Science and Engineering | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
