The motivation of this project is to create an autonomous service robot that can help in busy dining establishments to speed up service and reduce wait times for customers. Extensive user research was conducted for this project to determine the specific features the service robot would need to meet the expectations of restaurant patrons. Through careful evaluation and iterative improvement, the service robot's preliminary concept design was honed to perfection. Critical areas and chosen materials were tested for strength and durability via computational modelling and finite element analysis to validate the design. Solidworks was used to create a 3D model of the service robot, which was then used to demonstrate the robot's features, capabilities, hardware, and software. Although the project was completed within the stipulated time range, the robot's physical appearance, hardware, and software might all benefit from additional improvement. An enhanced facial recognition system might be implemented as a means to better cater to individual customers and enhance the level of service provided. As a whole, this project shows how robots may improve our lives, and the possibility for new and useful solutions is practically limitless.en_US
